BEL Q1 FY27 Results: Navratna defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), which works under the Ministry of Defence, has opened FY27 with a strong set of unaudited Q1 results. The board approved the numbers for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, and the company said revenue from operations rose 25.27% year on year to ₹5,533.06 crore from ₹4,416.83 crore in the same quarter last year. BEL’s revenue growth was backed by better execution of defence projects and healthy demand for defence electronics.
The rest of the quarterly numbers also moved up.

- Total Income: ₹5,700.45 crore, up 24.45% from ₹4,580.45 crore
- Total Expenses: ₹4,297.62 crore, up 30.58% from ₹3,291.21 crore
- Profit Before Tax: ₹1,402.83 crore, up 8.81% from ₹1,289.24 crore
- Tax Expense: ₹354.50 crore, up 10.74% from ₹320.11 crore
- Net Profit: ₹1,048.33 crore, up 8.17% from ₹969.13 crore
- EPS (Basic & Diluted): ₹1.43, up 7.52% from ₹1.33

Profitability
BEL also reported a strong consolidated performance for the quarter. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations was ₹5,546.98 crore, total income was ₹5,716.54 crore, and total expenses were ₹4,320.29 crore.
Profit before tax stood at ₹1,396.25 crore, share of associates was ₹10.63 crore, and net profit came in at ₹1,054.53 crore. Consolidated EPS rose to ₹1.44, showing another steady quarter for the company.
Order Book
The company’s order book also remained very strong. BEL said its order book stood at ₹72,258 crore as of July 1, 2026, giving it good revenue visibility for the next few quarters. Reports also note that BEL continued to win fresh orders in the recent period, which adds more support to its future pipeline.
Dividend
BEL’s board also took a few shareholder and capital decisions. The company recommended a final dividend of 55%, or ₹0.55 per share, for FY25-26. It had already announced an interim dividend of 195%, or ₹1.95 per share. Along with that, the board approved a plan to increase authorised share capital from ₹750 crore to ₹1,000 crore, subject to shareholder approval.

BEL’s wider business base also matters here. The consolidated results include its subsidiary and associate companies, such as BEL Optronic Devices Ltd, BEL-Thales Systems Ltd, GE BE Pvt Ltd and BEL IAI Aerosystems Pvt Ltd. The company’s official profile says BEL is a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence and makes advanced electronic products and systems for defence and strategic use.
