Indian Army tests defence tech: The Indian Army has started big field trials to test new indegenious defence technology in different parts of the country. These tests are very important because they check how these systems work in real war-like situations. The Army is not just doing simple tests; they are trying out electronic warfare too, to see how strong and smart these new systems are on the battlefield.
Right now, these trials are going on at important places like the Pokhran and Babina Field Firing Ranges, and also in Joshimath. There are special demonstrations planned for air defence systems, and those are taking place in Agra and Gopalpur.

- Loitering Munitions
- Specialised Vertical Launch (SVL) Drones
- Precision Multi Munition Delivery Systems
- Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction System (IDDIS)
- Low Level Light Weight Radars
- VSHORADS (Next Generation) IR Systems
- Electronic Warfare (EW) Platforms
These tests are a big part of what the Army is calling its “Decade of Transformation.” This is a plan to bring a lot of new changes and fast progress in how the Army works and fights. The Army wants to use more modern technology, but they also want this technology to come from within India.
