Ordnance Factory Worker Arrested

Ordnance Factory Worker Arrested: Ordnance Factory Employee The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested Kumar Vikas, a junior works manager at the Kanpur Ordnance Factory, on Wednesday. He is accused of sharing highly sensitive defense information with a suspected Pakistani intelligence agent. This arrest happened just days after the ATS detained Ravindra Kumar, an employee at the Ordnance Factory in Firozabad, for similar charges. Both men were reportedly talking to someone using the fake name Neha Sharma, who is believed to be a Pakistani intelligence handler.

According to Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, ATS, Nilabja Chaudhary, Kumar Vikas first met Neha Sharma on Facebook in January 2025. She pretended to work BHEL and gained his trust. The ATS found that Vikas used the mobile game Ludo to secretly communicate with the suspected spy. He was allegedly offered money in exchange for sharing classified documents. These documents included details about equipment, ammunition production, employee attendance, machine layouts, and production charts from the Kanpur Ordnance Factory. Authorities are worried that this leaked information could harm India’s security and give enemies important details about the country’s defense systems.

The ATS has filed a case against Vikas at their police station in Lucknow. The case includes charges under Section 148 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita or BNS and Sections 3/4/5 of the Official Secrets Act.

These arrests show how Pakistani agents are using fake identities and online platforms to trap Indian employees and steal important information.
