The agreement, called an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, will support foreign military sales (FMS) of F110-GE-129 engines. These engines power F-15 and F-16 aircraft, which are flown by many countries around the world.

The F110 engine family is known for its strong performance and reliability. Over the past 40 years, these engines have been used in military aviation and have clocked more than 11 million flight hours. They are famous for delivering the highest thrust in their class, making them a trusted choice for fighter jets.

Amy Gowder, president and CEO of Defense & Systems at GE Aerospace, shared her excitement about the contract. According to EconoTimes, she said, “We are honoured to reach this agreement with the U.S. Air Force, ensuring the F110-GE-129 remains the engine of choice for the world’s F-15 and F-16 fleets.
