Virtuix AI-powered counter-drone: Virtuix Holdings Inc. is set to present its new counter-drone training system to US defence officials at the Maneuver Warfighter Conference in Georgia from September 15 to 17, 2026. The event is organised around the changing needs of the US Army and other defence forces. It gives military leaders and industry companies a place to discuss new training tools and future battlefield requirements.
AI system helps soldiers train against hostile drones
The company will demonstrate its Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) Personnel Trainer with LeadTech. The system is made to help soldiers practise how to spot and deal with hostile drones.

Instead of using only normal virtual training, the trainer adds full-body movement. It uses Virtuix’s Omni One system so trainees can move naturally inside the simulated environment while also doing marksmanship training. This can allow soldiers to repeat training in a digital setting before taking part in costly live-fire exercises.
The simulator is built by LeadTech and uses the Omni One platform. It can recreate real military training areas as digital twins. This means a real training location can be turned into a virtual version where troops can practise different situations.
US Army and Marines are evaluating the technology
The C-UAS trainer isn’t only being shown to Army officials. The US Marine Corps Training and Education Command (TECOM) is also evaluating the system at Quantico, Virginia.
Virtuix has also been expanding its defence work. In May 2026, the US Air Force selected the company for Phase I funding under the AFWERX SBIR programme for its Virtual Terrain Walk platform. The company is also working with KBR and the Marine Corps on an infantry fireteam trainer using four Omni One systems.

The growing interest comes as counter-drone training becomes more important for modern military forces. Cheaper and more capable drones are creating new challenges for troops and military facilities. Virtuix’s system is aimed at giving warfighters a way to practise against these threats repeatedly in a controlled virtual environment.
The 2026 Maneuver Warfighter Conference will take place at Fort Moore, Georgia, from September 15 to 17.
