Operation Sindoor Republic Day 2026: During the Republic Day parade in 2026 the Indian Air Force will fly a special air formation called “Sindoor”. This air show will happen during the flypast and will be one of the biggest attractions of the day. The aircraft in this formation are the same ones that were used in Operation Sindoor.
Officials have shared that the Sindoor formation will have many fighter jets flying together. It will include two Rafale jets 2 Su-30 aircraft two MiG-29 fighter planes and one Jaguar aircraft.

Operation Sindoor and Its Significance
Operation Sindoor started on May 7 after a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam where 26 innocent people were killed. After this attack Pakistan responded and this led to a short conflict that continued from May 7 to May 10. The situation was serious but controlled within a few days.
During Operation Sindoor India said it killed more than 100 terrorists in just 23 minutes. The Air Force used Rafale fighter jets loaded with SCALP missiles and HAMMER bombs. Officials explained that the attacks badly damaged terror camps and buildings. At the same time care was taken so that civilians were not harmed. Many of the terrorists who were killed were connected to banned groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen. The Defence Ministry said the mission was very accurate and completed its goal successfully.

High-Tech Security for Republic Day
Along with the air show big changes will be seen in security arrangements for Republic Day 2026. Delhi Police will use new AI-based technology to keep the city safe. Police teams will use smart glasses powered by artificial intelligence and advanced facial recognition systems to watch over large crowds.
Additional Commissioner of Police Devesh Kumar Mahala said that all CCTV cameras will now have video analytics and Facial Recognition Systems FRS. Some police officers along the parade route will wear smart glasses to help spot suspicious activity quickly. This will be the first time Delhi Police is using wearable technology like this during the Republic Day parade.
