IMA Pass Out: On Saturday, 372 gentleman cadets, including 29 from 12 friendly nations, graduated from the Indian Military Academy here to receive commissions as officers into their respective nations’ armed forces.
Chief of Defence Staff of Sri Lanka Gen. Shavendra Silva addressed the passing out parade in his capacity as reviewing officer. He congratulated them on finishing their demanding training successfully and wished them luck in all of their future aspirations.
Gen. Silva expressed his confidence that the graduating gentleman cadets will serve their motherlands with dedication, devotion, and courage, saying that their impeccable parade demonstrated their high level of training.

The highly sought-after Sword of Honour and Gold Medal were awarded to Battalion Under Officer Gaurav Rawat, while Battalion Under Officer Saurabh Badhani received the Silver Medal and Battalion Under Officer Alok Singh received the Bronze.
There are now 343 new officers in the Indian Army as of Saturday’s POP.
Nine from Bhutan, four from Sri Lanka and the Maldives, three from Mauritius, two from Nepal, and one each from Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are among the 29 passing out gentlemen cadets from 12 friendly countries.
