BEL Defence Orders: State-run defence company Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has got new work orders worth ₹1,011 crore. The company shared this update in a stock exchange filing. These new deals came after its last update on February 25, 2026.
BEL said the fresh orders include many types of defence systems. These cover communication equipment, radar warning and jamming systems, and fire control systems. The company will also work on electro-optic sights and fire detection and warning systems used in fighter aircraft.

Along with that, the orders also include high-energy lasers, automatic train supervision systems, head-up displays, and software solutions. The company will also supply jammers, shelters, important parts, upgrades, spare items, and services. All this helps BEL grow stronger in the defence electronics field.
Partnership to Boost Local Manufacturing
Earlier this month, BEL signed a deal with SASMOS HET Technologies Limited. This agreement is meant to improve defence manufacturing inside India.
The deal was signed between BEL Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Jain and SASMOS CMD H G Chandrashekar. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also present when this agreement was exchanged.
Strong Q3 Results and Dividend
BEL also shared its results for the December quarter. The company earned ₹7,122 crore in revenue. This is a growth of 23.7% compared to ₹5,756 crore in the same quarter last year. It also did better than the CNBC-TV18 estimate of ₹6,710 crore.
The company’s EBITDA went up by 28% to ₹2,117 crore. This was higher than the expected ₹1,884 crore.

BEL also announced an interim dividend of ₹1.95 per share for FY26. This dividend was declared on February 27. It equals 195% of the paid-up share capital, with each share having a face value of ₹1.
On Tuesday, March 17, the company’s shares closed higher. The stock price went up by 2.29% and ended at ₹439.35 on the NSE.
