India AI Combat Drone: Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace, a defence and AI warfare company from India, has won the silver medal at the ARCA 23rd International Exhibition of Innovation 2025 held in Zagreb, Croatia. The company got this award for its creation called Kaala Bhairava E2A2, which is India’s first AI-powered, Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Autonomous Combat Aircraft.

The Kaala Bhairava E2A2 is made to act as a force multiplier for the Indian defence system. Everything in this aircraft is designed and built fully in India. It can fly for up to 30 hours and travel around 3000 kilometers without stopping. The aircraft can do many things like multi-angle precision strikes, swarm warfare missions, and it can also help with intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.
Suhas Tejaskanda, the CEO and Founder of Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace, felt proud of this global recognition. He said, “This win is not just for the company, it’s a recognition of India’s military and technological advancements. Our aim remains clear- made in India, for the world. Each milestone we achieve brings us closer to our goal of advancing India’s defence capabilities and making us a global hub for defence manufacturing.”
He also added, “For too long, we have been dependent on expensive foreign imports, with no sovereign control, it’s time we change that.”
Global Stage for Innovation
The ARCA 2025 event was organized by the Croatian Union of Innovations and supported by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA). The exhibition had more than 300 innovations and new technologies from 35 countries.

Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace (FWDA) is based in Bengaluru, India. The company works on AI warfare systems and autonomous combat aircraft. It made history by becoming the first Indian company to get the DGCA type certification for an indigenous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). After that it introduced India’s first unmanned bomber aircraft, the FWD-200B, which made its first successful flight on September 3, 2024.
