DRDO Conclave in Lucknow: The Defence Research and Development Organisation’s Defence Technology and Test Centre in Lucknow held a special conclave at its Amausi campus on Saturday. The aim of this event was to bring micro, small and medium enterprises and also new start-ups closer to defence research and production. This meeting also wanted to push more companies to take part in the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor, which has become an important hub for defence work in the state.

The conclave saw a very strong presence with more than 100 people coming in from MSMEs, start-ups and Laghu Udhyog Bharti. They spoke and discussed about different subjects like how to build new skills, how to get proper funding for research, how to make use of technical consultancy, and how DRDO can help with technology transfer and development.
DRDO Chairman Opens DTTC Event
The DRDO Chairman opened the event and spoke about how DTTC was started because of the vision of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. He said the centre is now giving results and it is really helping industries in the defence sector. He talked about industry policies that are already in place and also about the technologies that are open for use.
He encouraged MSMEs to use this chance to be part of defence research and development. The Chairman also gave his word that DRDO will fully support MSMEs so they can play a big role in building an Atmanirbhar Bharat and finally reach the dream of a developed Bharat by 2047.
DRDO hands over three advanced materials technologies to Indian industries
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also praised DRDO and MSMEs for arranging this conclave. He recognised how MSMEs are already very important in making the Prime Minister’s dream of Atmanirbhar Bharat move ahead and said such efforts will speed up the work.
Senior Officials in the Event
The conclave also had top DRDO officials in attendance. Among them were Dr RV Hara Prasad, who is Director General for Naval Systems and Materials, Dr LC Mangal, who is Director General for Technology Management, and Dr Mayank Dwivedi, who is Director General for Human Resources.
