International Defence Conference 2025: The International Defence Conference 2025 started today at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, supports this event. The conference is happening at the same time as IDEX and NAVDEX. Leaders, experts, and companies from the defence and security sectors around the world are attending. They will talk about important challenges and opportunities in this field.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadel Al Mazrouei, the Minister of State for Defence Affairs, opened the conference. The theme of the event is “Defence Reimagined: Innovation, Integration, and Resilience.”
The ADNEC Group, the Ministry of Defence, and the Tawazun Council are organising the conference together, reported by Zawya. Senior leaders, officials, defence and security representatives, academics, and industry experts from the region and other countries are attending.

The conference has three main sessions. The first session will discuss global disruptions and how to prepare for defence challenges. The second session will focus on protecting important supply chains from threats.
The third session will talk about misinformation and influence operations in modern conflicts. There will also be a special session about space. This session will explore new threats and opportunities in the space domain. A total of 12 distinguished speakers, including leaders, ministers, and senior defence officials from around the world, will contribute to the discussions.
Many important international leaders, ministers, and defence officials from different countries are attending the event. The International Defence Conference always attracts high-profile participants. This includes leaders from defence, economic, and technology sectors, as well as senior military commanders from around the world.
The conference will end with a special session. This session will present strategic recommendations. These recommendations will help shape future defence programmes.
