HENSOLDT at Paris Air Show: HENSOLDT is all set to show its latest defence and radar technology at the Paris Air Show which is happening at Le Bourget from June 16 to 22, 2025. The company wants to highlight how it is using new digital tools and smart ideas to help make missions safer and faster. They are focusing a lot on digitalisation, working better with others (interoperability), and being ready for action quickly. Their goal is to help soldiers and teams see more clearly and make better decisions during missions.
At their display, HENSOLDT will show off its most recent Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) systems. These are tools that help figure out which aircraft or vehicle is a friend, and which one is not. They will also bring their smart defence software and tools that help stop enemy drones, called counter UAS systems.
Some of the equipment on display has already been tested and used, like the Spexer radar, the TRML-4D, and the TwinVis air defence radars. Another big part of their show will be the airborne radar system called PrecISR, which can be used for many different jobs in the air.

One important system they will talk about is the TRML-4D radar. This radar is already being used in Ukraine as part of the IRIS-T SLM air defence system. HENSOLDT says these radars are still playing a big part in helping Ukraine protect its land from attacks. The company is also sharing its support services for aircraft and other flying machines, showing how they can help customers take care of these systems for many years.
Oliver Dörre, CEO of HENSOLDT, said: “Digital technologies – keyword “software-defined defence” – are increasingly enabling us to link existing capabilities, roll out software-based modernisations and massively shorten development cycles. We combine the expertise of two high-tech companies whose products are regarded as benchmarks worldwide. By jointly developing software-defined systems, we are multiplying the defensive effectiveness of air defence and thus contributing to the development of a sovereign European defence capability”

On the show the company will also be showing its brand-new IFF Mode 5 crypto-computer, called QRTK77. This special device is being shown for the first time. It is made in France and is built to work perfectly with NATO and other allied countries. The QRTK77 makes sure that everyone on the same side can share info clearly and safely.
HENSOLDT also wants to talk about how its defence systems are becoming more advanced through smart software. They say using software to control and change how the equipment works makes things more flexible and powerful.

One of the company’s strong points is putting together data from many sources to give a better and clearer view of what’s happening around. This is called sensor data fusion. They mix data from radar, cameras (optronics), and tools that listen to electromagnetic signals. When all this information is put together, it helps create a better overall picture of the situation.
