The International Fleet Review, or IFR, is a special event where many navies bring their ships together. The President of India checks the ships while they stand in neat lines at sea. It shows how ready the navy is and also shows friendship between countries. This year’s event is linked with the Milan naval exercise, which first started in 1995 with only a few countries and now includes more than 65 navies.
