Indian Navy’s Op Demo in Puri, Odisha: 24 Ships and 40 Aircraft Set to Showcase Maritime Strength

The Indian Navy will host an Operational Demonstration on Navy Day in Puri, Odisha, showcasing its maritime capabilities and raising maritime safety awareness among the public.

Indian Navy’s Op Demo Odisha: On December 4, Navy Day, the Indian Navy will hold an “Operational Demonstration” at Blue Flag Beach in Puri, Odisha, to recognize its achievements and role in protecting the country. The event will feature 24 warships and 40 aircraft, including helicopters and fighter jets. These will demonstrate the Navy’s maritime capabilities through aerial maneuvers and various exercises.

The demonstration will highlight the Navy’s diverse skills and raise awareness about maritime safety among the public in Odisha. President Droupadi Murmu will attend the event, which will take place between 4 pm and 6:30 pm. The event will conclude with an impressive laser show.

According to Newindianexpress, The Ministry of Defence has announced that the Operational Demonstration (Op Demo) will take place at the beautiful Blue Flag Beach in Puri, Odisha, highlighting the strong connection between the Indian Navy and Odisha’s maritime heritage. The Navy is working closely with the Odisha Government and local authorities to ensure the event runs smoothly.

The event will be open to the public, with arrangements made to accommodate local spectators and tourists, allowing everyone a chance to witness the demonstration from the beach. Around 7,500 guests have been invited to attend, and seating arrangements will be provided for them.

Ahead of the event, full-dress rehearsals for the Op Demo will be held on December 2 and 3, as confirmed by Odisha’s Director General of Police, YB Khurania.

“At least 40 sectors will be set up at the Blue Flag beach for the visitors where they can witness the capabilities of the Indian Navy’s naval ships and aircraft,” said Khurania.

The Odisha Police have made strong security plans for the event in Puri. About 80 platoons of police and 300 officers will be stationed around the town to ensure everything goes smoothly. CCTV cameras will be set up all over the town for safety. Police will also monitor the traffic between Bhubaneswar and Puri to prevent any traffic jams on December 4.
