From MJCET to Indian Navy: Mohammed Abubakar Becomes Sub-Lieutenant Officer

Mohammed Abubakar, a Civil Engineering graduate from MJCET, Hyderabad, has proudly joined the Indian Navy as a Sub-Lieutenant after intense training at the Indian Naval Academy in Kerala.

Mohammed Abubakar, a young man from Hyderabad, has proudly joined the Indian Navy as a Sub-Lieutenant Officer. He completed his Civil Engineering degree in 2022 from Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET), which is located in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. After his dedication, he earned big opportunity and now serves as an officer in the Navy, making his family and college proud.

During his time at MJCET Abubakar was both a good student and an athelete. He always took part in sports competitions and showed great energy and spirit. His interest for games helped him stay motivated and strong. He got selected through the Services Selection Board (SSB) and later, he went through tough training at the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala. On May 31, he proudly marched in the passing-out parade and became an officer in the Indian Navy.

Even when he was still a student, he didn’t stop playing sports. He took part in many tournaments and even represented Telangana in some of them. According to Munsif Daily, he also played football and went to Nainital for the 7-a-side National Football Tournament. He also joined the Indo-Nepal International Football Tournament where he played for both MJCET and Telangana. In his department, he worked as the Sports Coordinator for Civil Engineering and helped organize events.

Abubakar said his success came from the way he focused equally on studies and sports. He also thanked his college management for always being there for him and helping him grow. Abubaka specially talked about the support and training he received from MJCET’s Physical Director, Mohammad Yusufuddin, and Sports Chairman, Amir Javed. He said they played a big role in shaping him for the Armed Forces and were always guiding him in the right direction.

He is now proud to wear the Navy uniform and is happy to serve the country. He also shared that more than 25 students from his college recently got selected for important roles in government services, civil services, and the defense forces. Abubakar now hopes that more young people will stay focused, set goals, and work hard to reach where they want to be. He says it’s important to keep trying and never lose hope.
