MoS Defence Sanjay Seth Says 3 Lakh New NCC Cadets to Join Soon

The government will add 3 lakh new cadets to the NCC. Sanjay Seth said this will help build a stronger youth force and create more training and job opportunities in India.

NCC Cadets: Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, announced a big expansion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) during a conference in Bhopal on Tuesday. He said the government will add three lakh new cadets across the country, aiming to take the total number of NCC cadets to between 17 and 20 lakh. He also said, “The NCC instills a spirit of nationalism and service. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to raise the number of cadets to between 17 and 20 lakh. With support from all states, we will soon achieve this target” reported PTI.

The minister spoke about how the NCC helps young people become more disciplined and ready to serve the country. He also talked about new efforts like hiring ex-servicemen as instructors, which will give jobs to veterans while improving training.

Several states have already agreed to support the plan and are working to improve training centres and other infrastructure. Seth thanked them and asked more states to give full help with staff, buildings, and money to make the plan a success.

Seth praised the way NCC cadets join national projects. He spoke about their work in Swachh Bharat, Naya Savera, and the Nasha Mukti Abhiyan. He said their involvement shows how much they care about making India better. He also gave a big cheer to the NCC team that climbed Mount Everest. He said it was a proud moment for everyone when the team reached the top on May 18. He called it “a powerful example of cadet courage and resilience,” showing the brave spirit and strength of NCC cadets.
