Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya: A group of 20 senior and mid-level officers from the Indian Army have joined a five-day training program at Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya in Vadodara. This special course is being run in coordination with the Army and focuses on two major government projects the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan and the National Logistics Policy. The training started earlier this week and will finish on April 25.
This is the first time such a training program is being held under a Memorandum of Understanding that the Indian Army and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya signed in September last year. The Army and GSV agreed through this MoU to work together on learning and development programs like this one.

Major General Mohit Trivedi, Additional Director General of Operational Logistics, opened the training with a speech highlighting the need for modern tools in defence planning. He said this helps boost national readiness and supports India’s growth.
Most officers in the program specialize in logistics and infrastructure. An Army spokesperson said the training aims to improve the Army’s use of technology, including GIS-based tools from the National Master Plan.
According to the spokesperson, “This initiative aligns with the Government of India’s vision of Viksit Bharat by equipping the armed forces with advanced planning and operational capabilities” reported The Statesman.
