Kamikaze Drones: The Indian Army has added a new high-tech weapon to its collection in Jammu and Kashmir. It is called the Kamikaze High-Speed Drone, also known as the “Suicide Drone.” The army showed this drone at a recent Science and Technology Expo held at IIT Jammu. This new technology is a big step forward in the army’s fight against terrorism in the region.
The Kamikaze drone is specially designed to track and attack terrorists hiding in thick forests and difficult terrains. This will make security operations in Jammu and Kashmir much more effective. The drone works as part of a system called the Mother Drone System.

Kamikaze Drone System Overview
In this system, a larger drone (the mother drone) carries two smaller drones. These smaller drones can carry explosives like RDX and attack their targets with precision. They are called suicide drones because they explode when they hit their target.
Each Kamikaze drone can carry up to 300 grams of explosives. It has a powerful camera that helps it find its target with great accuracy. The drone is designed to work in all kinds of weather, including storms, heavy rain, and snowfall. This is very important for operations in Jammu and Kashmir, where the weather can be extreme.
The drone also has a real-time tracking system. This means it can watch and follow the movements of terrorists as they happen. This will help security forces stop terrorists from escaping after an attack. In the past, terrorists would attack army bases and then run away into the thick forests or remote hideouts of Jammu and Kashmir. But now, the Kamikaze drones can quickly strike these hidden bases, even in bad weather.

A defence source said, “These drones will rain explosives on terrorist hideouts and eliminate threats before they can escape.” The drone weighs between 4 to 5 kg and can carry up to 2.5 kg of weapons. It is very effective at targeting enemies hiding in bunkers. It can also destroy enemy tanks, weapons, and soldiers within a 100 km range. This makes it perfect for precise attacks from a safe distance.
This new technology shows how the Indian Army is increasingly using drones for both surveillance and attack missions. The Kamikaze drone is a powerful tool that will help the army fight terrorism more effectively in Jammu and Kashmir.
