India and Uzbekistan are planning to hold a joint military exercise called DUSTLIK starting on April 15, 2024, in Termez District, Uzbekistan. This is a big step forward in their strategic partnership. Not only does this practice improve cooperation, it also improves both countries’ military power, showing how committed they are to a strong partnership.
“Exercise #Dustlik 2024 5th Edition of Joint Military Exercise ‘DUSTLIK’ between India and Uzbekistan will be conducted at Termez District, #Uzbekistan from 15 to 28, 2024. The participating contingents from the #IndianArmedForces and Armed Forces of the Republic of #Uzbekistan will train together to cement the foundation for collaborations & future military interactions,” The Indian Army stated.
Joint training activities will be conducted during the exercise by contingents from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and India.

On February 20, 2018, the Indian Army and the Army of Uzbekistan conducted their fourth joint military exercise at the Foreign Training Node in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand.
The 14-day joint training exercise, according to the Additional Directorate General of Public Information, was centred on exchanging best practices in subconventional operations conducted under a UN mandate. The Indian Army stated this.
The exercise, which aims to foster good relations between the two militaries, involved 45 soldiers from the Indian Army and the Uzbekistani Army, according to the Ministry of Defence.
The infantry battalion of the Garhwal Rifle Regiment makes up the contingent of the Indian Army. In November 2019, the exercise’s inaugural version took place in Uzbekistan.
