Airport at Adilabad: The Ministry of Defence has given initial approval to convert Adilabad’s old Nizam-era airfield into a civilian airport that will also host an Indian Air Force training facility.
In an official letter to the Telangana government, the MoD explained: “The Indian Air Force (IAF) plans to set up a training establishment at the location in the future.” The proposal suggests developing the airfield as a shared civilian-military facility.
