Zuppa Geo Navigation: Chennai based company Zuppa Geo Navigation Technologies has taken a big step by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT-Madras and the 8 Base Repair Depot of the Indian Air Force. The plan is to work together and build new defence technologies inside the country instead of buying from outside. This partnership mixes Zuppa’s skill in unmanned aerial vehicles and navigation systems with the strong research support from IIT-Madras and the deep experience of the Air Force team.
The main aim is to make defence aviation smarter, faster and stronger. The three groups will work to find real use solutions that make operations more efficient and give more independence to the systems used in the sky. They also want to make sure the technology can survive tough and demanding environments.
Sai Pattabiram, who is the Founder and Managing Director of Zuppa, said “This MoU represents the convergence of industry innovation, academic excellence, and the operational defence experience. By aligning with IIT-Madras and the Indian Air Force, we aim to create next-generation UAV and navigation solutions that will serve the nation’s defence with indigenous strength and global benchmarks.”

Next generation UAV and navigation
Zuppa has already made a name for itself as a deep tech company working with drones. It focuses on making autonomous flying machines and strong flight control systems. These drones are used not only in defence but also in precision farming, in smart transport and also in AI based work automation. Zuppa builds its own hardware and software and makes them run together as one system. This will help with their drones work even in a rough real world conditions where other systems may fail.
