Drogo Aerospace Army Drones: Hyderabad-based Drogo Aerospace has given the Indian Army the first lot of its JK 250e drones. The company sent 41 drones in this first round, and the order is worth ₹72-crore. Officials from the Army’s Southern Command in Nasik, Maharashtra received the drones. The company says it wants to finish the rest of the deliveries by August 2026.

These JK 250e drones are made by Drogo Aerospace itself. The company says they can stay in the air for up to three hours on one charge. They are meant for watching, scouting, and other important military work. The project also fits into the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat plans.
Company Name Change
Drogo Aerospace was earlier called Drogo Drones. The new name shows that the company wants to grow beyond just drone making. It now wants to work in defence, aviation, unmanned systems, satellites, and other future aerospace areas. The firm is based in Madhapur, Hyderabad, and it is also building more work in advanced unmanned aerial systems and surveillance technology.
Founder and CEO Yeshwanth Bonthu said the Army delivery proves the company’s skill, its making power, and its focus on national security, reported The Hindu. He also said the company is building new indigenous products such as loitering munitions, long-endurance UAVs, AI-powered aerial intelligence systems, and more advanced surveillance and reconnaissance tools.
New factory
Drogo Aerospace is also setting up a new drone manufacturing facility in Maheshwaram, in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district. The Telangana government has given it around 4.5 acres in the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster for this project. The new unit will cover about 1 lakh sq ft and is expected to create around 500 new jobs. The company currently has about 300 employees and plans to grow more as it expands in India’s defence and aerospace market.

The company recently showed its defence products at an exhibition in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. There, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu saw the products and praised the company’s work in indigenous innovation. Drogo Aerospace says it specialises in advanced unmanned aerial systems, defence technology, AI-based aerial intelligence, and next-generation aerospace platforms.
