Ex-Navy Officer Jagmohan Takes Over as Chairman and Managing Director of Mazagon Dock

Captain Jagmohan, a Former Navy Captain, has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, a role he will hold until his retirement in 2029.

Mazagon Dock Chairman: Captain Jagmohan has been named the new Chairman and Managing Director of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited. The Ministry of Personnel announced the decision in an official order. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved his appointment, and he will serve in this role until his retirement on September 30, 2029.

According to The Hindu, Captain Jagmohan is currently working as the Director of Corporate Planning, Projects, and Business Development at Goa Shipyard Limited. Before this, he served as the Chief General Manager (Design) at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited in Kolkata.

In that role, he managed the design work for complex warship projects for both the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard.

Captain Jagmohan served in the Indian Navy for more than 25 years. During his time in service, he handled important jobs in the Directorate of Naval Design and at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. His experience in naval construction and design helped him grow as a skilled leader in warship building and project management.

He studied Naval Architecture at the Cochin University of Science and Technology. He also holds a Master of Technology in Naval Construction from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and a degree in Ocean Engineering from IIT Kharagpur.
