The BSE Sensex, which tracks 30 major companies, fell by 271.22 points or 0.37% to 72,926.88. Similarly, the NSE Nifty dropped by 93.60 points or 0.42% to 22,031.10.
Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) also sold shares worth Rs 11,639.02 crore on Friday, according to data from the stock exchange.

BEL has informed the stock exchanges that its board will meet on March 5, 2025, to discuss and declare an interim dividend for the financial year 2024-25. The company stated, “We wish to inform that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, the 5th March, 2025, to consider, inter alia, declaration of interim dividend for the financial year 2024-25.”
