Avantel Order from BEL: Avantel, a company making defence electronics, has won a big order worth ₹8.82 crore from Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL). This order is to supply power amplifiers. The work is fully domestic manufacturing, and Avantel must deliver everything by March 2026. The deal also includes a 3% performance bank guarantee (PBG), which means Avantel promises its work quality and must back that promise with funds.
BEL is a top defence public sector unit (PSU). So when a smaller company like Avantel gets an order from BEL it acts like a stamp of trust. It shows Avantel is meeting the quality, compliance and performance standards needed in defence supply chains. Also, Avantel has earlier revealed that it already has orders from BEL and the Indian Navy. This suggests its clients stay with it and its order book is growing. The March ’26 deadline gives a clear schedule for work, delivery, and meeting milestones, reported Capital Market.
India shifts from big buyer to rising global exporter in defence world
What this could lead to?
This new order strengthens Avantel’s book for FY26 that is if Avantel delivers on time and meets payment milestones, it can improve cash flow and use its capacity better. Defence electronics is a field seeing steady activity. Parts of this like RF front-end, satcom and power amplifiers are particularly in demand in India now.
It is still not clear how many amplifiers Avantel will have to make or what the detailed specifications will look like. The company has also not shared if it will receive any advance money or how the payments will be divided across milestones. The timeline for inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and final dispatch will also play a big role.

There are risks around component lead times especially for RF parts or power devices, which often face supply chain challenges. Also if any QC test or inspection stage fails or slows, it might delay acceptance and payments.
