Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Announces Plan to Open 100 New Sainik Schools to Enhance Education Quality

New Sainik Schools: The Indian government has decided to take a significant step towards improving the quality of education by establishing 100 new Sainik schools across the country.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh shared this announcement during the annual day celebration of Vidyadhiraja Vidyapeetom Sainik School in Alappuzha, Kerala. This initiative aims to expand access to quality education in various regions of India.

The Central government has also made provisions to allow female students to enroll in Sainik schools. The Defence Minister highlighted this change while inaugurating the 47th annual day celebration of the Vidyadhiraja Sainik School.

According to India TV, he mentioned that the government is working to ensure Sainik schools are accessible in every district, enabling children from diverse cultural backgrounds and remote areas to benefit from this educational model. He emphasized the importance of inclusivity and providing opportunities for children across the nation.

Rajnath Singh, who was in Kerala to attend multiple events, also spoke about India’s progress towards self-reliance in various sectors, including health, communication, industry, transport, and defence.

He stressed that along with these advancements, there is a pressing need to focus on educational reforms and the overall development of children. He called for a transformative revolution in the education sector to prepare future generations for the challenges ahead.

During his speech, the Defence Minister encouraged people to view soldiers beyond their roles in warfare. He explained that a soldier embodies qualities like discipline, dedication, selflessness, and self-control, which are equally important in everyday life.

These traits, he added, are shared by great leaders such as Swami Vivekananda, Adi Shankaracharya, and Raja Ravi Varma, whose contributions to society involved social, cultural, political, and religious reforms.
