BrahMos Missiles Order: The Indian Air Force and Navy are now planning to place a big order for more BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles. This comes right after these missiles were used in Operation Sindoor, where they caused heavy damage to Pakistan’s military areas. BrahMos played a key role in the mission and proved to be one of the most powerful weapons used in the fight.

The BrahMos missile is a special weapon made by both India and Russia together. It can be launched from land, sea, or even the air. It moves at supersonic speed, hits the target very accurately, and can be used in many types of military tasks. These features make it very useful in fast and sharp attacks. Reports say a big meeting in the Defence Ministry will soon clear the order to buy a large number of these missiles. These new missiles will be used by both the Navy and Air Force.

Missiles to Equip Navy Ships and Fighter Jets

Sources said the Indian Navy will use these BrahMos missiles on its Veer-class warships. These are smaller but fast and strong ships that need powerful weapons. At the same time, the Indian Air Force will use the air version of BrahMos with its Su-30 MKI fighter jets. These fighter planes, which were originally made in Russia, are already in use by the Air Force and adding BrahMos to them will make them even more deadly in air strikes.

Dr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra, who earlier worked as Director General at BrahMos in DRDO, explained how strong this missile is. He said BrahMos flies so fast that air defence systems of Pakistan and China can’t stop it. In fact, he said no defence system in the world can stop it, which shows how advanced this missile is.

PM Modi Praises Indigenous Weapons

After Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India’s locally made weapons showed their full strength. He praised the work of Indian missiles, drones, and air defence systems. He specially talked about the BrahMos missiles and said they proved how strong “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (self-reliant India) has become.

During the early stage of the operation, the BrahMos missile was the first choice for the Indian Air Force. It was used to attack terrorist camps inside Pakistan, especially those linked to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Toiba in the Punjab region of Pakistan. The missiles hit their targets perfectly. When the Pakistan Army tried to fight back and protect the terrorists, the BrahMos kept hitting their air bases and damaged them even more.
