Adani and Embraer Partnership: Adani Defence & Aerospace has joined hands with Embraer, a big aircraft company from Brazil. They signed an MoU to work together in India. The plan is to make small transport planes inside the country.
Both companies will help build planes, create local suppliers, repair and maintain aircraft, and train pilots. The idea is to make India stronger in making its own airplanes.

Making Planes in India
A big part of this deal is to set up an aircraft assembly line in India. Over time, more and more parts will be made locally. This supports the Indian government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat plan and also helps the UDAN scheme, which improves air travel in smaller cities. Jeet Adani explained why this is important by saying, “Regional aviation is the backbone of economic expansion. With initiatives like UDAN transforming air connectivity across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, the need for an indigenous regional aviation ecosystem has become critical.”
Using Strengths
Embraer brings many years of experience in designing and building aircraft. Adani brings strong aviation facilities in India, including airports, aircraft factories, repair services, and pilot training centers. Embraer’s CEO shared his thoughts and said, “India is a pivotal market for Embraer, and this partnership combines our aerospace expertise with Adani’s strong industrial capabilities and commitment to indigenisation.” He also added, “Together, we will evaluate the most viable, advanced and efficient solutions in support of India’s RTA ambitions, and their potential for implementation.”

This project is also expected to create many jobs in areas like engineering, manufacturing, transport, and support work. Ashish Rajvanshi from Adani Defence & Aerospace said, “We are shaping India’s regional transport aircraft ecosystem, a bold stride toward Aatmanirbhar aviation that bridges urban-rural divides and elevates India’s position in the global aerospace industry.”
Right now, Embraer already has almost 50 aircraft flying in India for commercial, defence, and business use. Some are used by the Indian Air Force and airlines like Star Air. Adani Defence & Aerospace is already India’s largest private company in this field and works on aircraft, drones, electronics, weapons, and long-term support.
