India-US Space and Defense Collaboration: Seven private companies from India have been chosen to join a new space and defense program between India and the United States. This program gives Indian companies a chance to work with some of the biggest U.S. defense and space organizations, like Northrop Grumman, RTX (formerly Raytheon), and Lockheed Martin. It opens the door to the largest defense and space market in the world, helping these companies grow more.
According to The Hindustan Times, the program called the India-U.S. Defense Acceleration Ecosystem, started in 2023 to build stronger ties between the two countries. It also aims to reduce India’s reliance on Russia for defense needs.

Through this program, Indian companies will get guidance, paid projects, and a chance to develop advanced technology. They will also explore new business in the U.S. space market, which could bring big benefits.
The selected companies include KaleidEO, EtherealX, and Aadyah Space. Indian investor IndusBridge Ventures and US based FedTech selected them and set up a special launchpad in 2024 to assist with the process. As per EconoTimes, these companies are expected to earn between $500 million and $1 billion each year by working in this program. They will also compete in a smaller market worth $1.5 billion annually, giving them a chance to grow even more.
