Germany Skynex Air Defense: Germany has given Ukraine a Skynex air defense system as part of its most recent military aid.
The platform is the latest part of a deal between Germany and Rheinmetall worth 192 million euros (182 million euros) to give Ukraine anti-missile technology in 2022.
As per The Defense Post, the integrated tracking unit will be employed to counter Russian air targets in Kiev’s airspace by carrying out short-range searches, categorizing, and identifying dangerous aircraft and missiles.
Additionally included in the most recent shipment are ten Marder infantry fighting vehicles, medium-range missiles, a surveillance radar, tank transporter tractors, and ammo for the air defence system.

Germany Skynex Air Defense System
A modular architecture allows Rheinmetall’s Skynex system, a short-range air defence capability, to be customized to suit different mission requirements for its sensors and effectors.
Four Revolver Gun Mk3 guns, a CN-1 control node and an X-TAR3D radar make up each Skynex system.
Romania and Austria are two of its operators; they both rely on the platform as their main airspace surveillance capability.
