CRPF Dog Saves Troops, Injured in Sukma IED Blast

CRPF Dog: Endro, a brave dog from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), was seriously hurt in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast during an anti-Naxal operation in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh. The incident happened on Wednesday around 1:30 pm near the village of Chhinagelur. Endro, a three-year-old Belgian Shepherd, suffered a fractured leg in the explosion.

Despite his injuries, Endro’s quick action prevented harm to the troops of the ‘Alpha’ company from the 229th battalion. A CRPF official praised the dog’s efforts, saying, “Endro’s bravery and quick response saved lives. He is a vital part of our operations in such challenging areas.”

The injured dog is now being treated in the Bijapur district. Officials noted that Endro’s role is part of a broader effort by the CRPF to use trained dogs to detect explosives in regions affected by Left Wing Extremism. “Our canine teams are crucial in ensuring the safety of our personnel in these high-risk zones,” the official added.
