The two scholarships are named ‘Royal Shaurya’ and ‘Royal Suraksha’. RGU’s Academics Registrar, D N Singh, explained that ‘Royal Shaurya’ will give full (100%) scholarships to children from families of martyrs and gallantry award winners. The other one, ‘Royal Suraksha’, will provide 50% tuition fee support for the children of serving CRPF personnel. Singh said the scholarships may be given for courses approved by important education bodies like AICTE, COA, PCI, INC, ANMHVC, BCI, or others like them, reported PTI.

CRPF Deputy Inspector General Manas Ranjan shared his thanks to the university for starting this thoughtful programme. He said the scholarships would help a lot, especially because CRPF personnel get transferred often and that makes it hard for their kids to continue their education smoothly.
