Vizag Navy day celebrations: The last several days saw the city subjugated by Cyclone Michaung. Because to the hurricane, Vizag’s annual Navy Celebrations, which were originally slated for December 4th, have been moved to December 10th. The city is already rehearsing for the entire dress parade that will take place on December 8, 2023, from Ramakrishna Beach Road to Park Hotel Junction. From 1 PM to 8 PM on that day, the naval warfare will be visible to citizens and ticket holders.

Automobile traffic will be permitted between Collector’s Junction and the Naval Coastal Battery, Siripuram Junction and the All India Radio Junction via the NTR Statue, Pandurangapuram Down and the All India Radio Junction, and Naval Cantonment Junction and the Naval Post Battery. Moreover, it is okay to go from Century Club to Novotel Hotel and from Pandi Mettu Junction to Novotel Hotel. Vehicles travelling along these roads won’t need passes. During this time, people are asked to cooperate with the authorities and travel by alternate routes.

There will be parked cars in the usual routes from MVP to the Beach Road roundabout and from Siripuram to Beach Road in the direction of the Park Hotel’s MG Ground. Beach Road should not be used by people to access the beach area. Furthermore, vehicles will not be permitted to leave the Park Hotel. Pass-holding vehicles are permitted to park at Football Ground, AU English Medium Ground, and APIIC Ground; however, they are not permitted to enter enclosures on Beach Road. The police officials also gave orders for visitors to walk to enclosures on Beach Road that are reserved for them after parking.

It is not permitted for vehicles to travel from Jagadamba Junction, Seven Hills Hospital, and KGH in the direction of the Collector’s Office, District Panchayat Ground, Andhra Medical College Ground, or Park Hotel in the direction of Coastal Battery Junction. Residents living between the Park Hotel and the Naval Coastal Battery are asked to assist the authorities by staying away from the event. If required, people should present their Aadhaar cards as identification or, depending on the circumstances, look for an other option. When Vizag city celebrates Navy Day on December 10, residents are asked to cooperate with the police and offer information.
