Chief Admiral R. Hari Kumar launched Adani Defence and Aerospace’s Drishti 10 “Starliner” unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the first of its kind for the Indian Navy.
Hyderabad’s Adani Adani Aerospace Park hosted the unveiling event.
This cutting-edge Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform can carry 450 kg of cargo and has a 36-hour endurance.
With STANAG 4671 certification and authorization to operate in both segregated and unsegregated airspace, it is the only all-weather military platform.
The head of the Navy called it a historic moment for both the Indian Navy and the pursuit of “Atmanirbhar” Bharat.
For us, this is a realization of a dream. Over 60% of the parts used in the construction of this medium-altitude, high-endurance UAV are indigenous to India. This shows the capacity that has been established. We now have a great deal of confidence that, over time, this will simply serve to fortify us and give us even greater capabilities,” he stated.

According to the Navy Chief, this would greatly increase the Navy’s capacity.
“We can travel deeper into the Indian Ocean because this has satellite communication as well,” he continued.
The Adani Group has proven its dedication to unmanned systems by methodically working over the past many years to build local capabilities that extend beyond manufacture and include maintenance, repair, and expansion (MRO). Admiral Hari Kumar stated that the incorporation of Drishti 10 into our naval operations will improve our naval capabilities and fortify our readiness for the constantly changing maritime surveillance and reconnaissance.
To be included into naval marine operations, the UAV will now be transported from Hyderabad to Porbandar.
In response to the pressing demand for drones with satellite communication capabilities, the Indian Army and Navy have placed orders for two Drishti-10 drones, according to Lt Gen Ajay Suri, Director General of Army Aviation.
He emphasized that the Adani Aerospace Park in Hyderabad is a cutting-edge establishment that places a premium on invention and indigenization and is evidence of India’s inventiveness.
“Recent geopolitical events have reinforced the convergence of physical, informational, and cognitive tactics underpinned by intelligence, information processing capabilities, and the use of unmanned and cyber systems for dissemination of information and disinformation,” stated Jeet Adani, vice president of Adani Enterprises.
Adani places a high premium on intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities that span air, sea, and land boundaries in order to support the armed forces and establish India as a major export destination. Being able to support the Indian Navy makes us proud,” he continued.
“The handover of the Drishti 10 Starliner UAV is a watershed moment in our journey towards self-sufficiency and indigenization of advanced technologies,” stated Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence and Aerospace. Our successful delivery to the Navy on schedule is a result of our strong quality management procedures and the outstanding assistance of our partners, who put in a lot of effort over the course of the last ten months from contract to delivery.
Telangana currently boasts the most active aerospace environment in the nation, according to D. Sridhar Babu, the state’s minister of industries. He praised the Adani Defence and Aerospace group for creating a vibrant unmanned systems ecosystem.
