The AAD has already started using a new system called the Integrated Drone Detection & Interdiction System (IDD&IS). This system can detect drones using special cameras and sensors. It also uses lasers to stop drones from causing harm. The AAD has already bought some of these systems and is planning to get more.

General D’Cunha also talked about the importance of smart ammunition. Smart ammunition is special because it can be programmed to hit specific targets. This makes it more accurate and reduces waste. He said, “With smart ammunition, one round can do the job of many regular rounds. This makes it easier to stop enemy drones and reduces the need for extra supplies.”

The AAD is also looking at using fragmentation ammunition, which explodes into small pieces to destroy targets. They have asked Indian companies to develop this type of ammunition.

The Indian Army is also working on getting new air defence systems. These include quick-reaction missiles and portable systems that soldiers can carry. The goal is to make sure India can protect itself from all kinds of air threats.
