Haryana: A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed near Baldwala village in Morni, a hilly region of Panchkula, on Friday. Fortunately, the pilot ejected safely and landed using a parachute before the aircraft hit the ground.
According to IAF officials, the aircraft had taken off from the Ambala airbase on a training sortie before the crash.
IAF Orders Inquiry Into the Crash
Following the incident, the IAF has confirmed that a Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of the accident.
“A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed today in Panchkula, Haryana. The pilot ejected safely from the aircraft. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered into the accident,” news agency ANI quoted IAF officials as saying.
