Air Force Event: The Indian Air Force (IAF) is organizing the Industry Outreach Event 2025 (IOE25) to boost India’s defense capabilities and promote indigenous innovation in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) initiative. The event will take place in two phases, on January 13 and January 15, bringing together industry leaders, startups, and innovators to collaborate on advanced defense solutions.

Focus of the First Phase

The first phase, scheduled for January 13, will focus on several key areas, including the IAF’s efforts towards self-reliance, the Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) schemes, and aviation system quality assurance and certification processes. Experts from prestigious organizations such as the Directorate of Aerospace Design, Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO), Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA), Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification (CEMILAC), and Aircraft Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE) will provide valuable insights into certification and testing processes critical for aviation and airborne systems.

On-Site Interaction in the Second Phase

The second phase, on January 15, will take place at Air Force Station Guwahati. This session will provide industry representatives with a chance to interact directly with defense operators, allowing for a deeper understanding of operational needs. Such direct engagement aims to identify areas where innovative solutions can be implemented, ensuring that the IAF’s operational requirements are effectively met.

IOE25 is designed to bridge the gap between industry stakeholders and the defense sector. By identifying opportunities and fostering collaboration, the event seeks to harness cutting-edge technology for India’s strategic goal of self-reliance in defense manufacturing and operations.
