Air Force Annual Meet: The Indian Air Force’s Western Command held a two-day Commanders’ Conference in New Delhi from December 6 to 7, with a focus on improving multi-domain warfare readiness and operational preparedness. The conference was chaired by Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, the Chief of Air Staff (COAS).

The goal of the conference was to align the Air Force’s objectives with its vision of self-reliance and excellence in combat. Air Chief Marshal Singh emphasized the theme of the year, “Bharatiya Vayu Sena – Sashakt, Saksham, Atmanirbhar” (Indian Air Force – Empowered, Capable, Self-Reliant). He encouraged commanders to prioritize capacity building and realistic training programs to ensure the force is prepared for future challenges.

According to TheWeek, The COAS also highlighted the importance of improving operational capabilities through better training, early activation of new equipment, and focusing on safety and security. The IAF Commanders’ Conference emphasized the importance of advanced training programs, focusing on realistic multi-domain warfare scenarios to ensure the Air Force is combat-ready. It also highlighted the need to operationalize new equipment and speed up the induction and deployment of advanced systems.

As per India Today, Senior IAF officials discussed leadership empowerment, encouraging leaders at all levels to help build a cohesive and future-ready force. They also stressed strengthening protocols to ensure operational safety and mission success.

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh praised the Western Air Command’s swift response, particularly in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations, and reminded attendees to uphold the core values of Mission, Integrity, and Excellence.

As the conference concluded, Air Marshal PM Sinha, the Western Air Command chief, reassured everyone of their commitment to overcoming emerging challenges and reinforcing their role in national defense.

The Western Air Command is the largest command of the IAF, managing 16 Air Force Bases and covering northern India, including New Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Jammu and Kashmir.
