What The New JV Will Do

The new joint venture will work on full supply chain support for aerospace and defence customers. That means it will handle sourcing and supplying parts, kitting, sub-assembly work, imports, warehousing, and delivery. TVS SCS has said this kind of business usually gives better margins and stronger returns than normal logistics work. The company also said the partnership grew out of a memorandum of understanding signed earlier this year, and that there was strong interest from people already working in the aerospace and defence world. The JV will first focus on India, but the two companies may also look at select international markets later.

What the Leaders Said

R Dinesh, Executive Chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, said, “This joint venture marks our entry into the high growth and globally significant aerospace and defence supply chain market.” He also said ALA brings deep domain skill, strong global customer links, and special know-how that fits well with TVS SCS’s network, digital tools, and execution strength.
