Mahindra C-390 Millennium: Anish Shah, the group CEO of Mahindra, reached a major milestone in their joint venture earlier this week when he visited Embraer’s headquarters in Brazil. Strengthening the relationship between Embraer and Mahindra was the main goal of the tour, with a focus on increasing India’s defence capabilities with the C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft.

The aircraft is renowned for having unmatched performance in a range of military applications. Brazil and India have a larger strategic partnership that includes this collaboration, demonstrating their common interest in growth and cooperation.
A multi-mission medium transport aircraft with minimal operating expenses and excellent productivity and operating flexibility is the C-390 Millennium. As per MSN, it has been in use since 2023 by the Portuguese Air Force and since 2019 by the Brazilian Air Force.

To fulfil the Indian Air Force’s goal of acquiring the C-390 Millennium, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked earlier this year, formalizing the relationship.
The Embraer-Mahindra conference represents not just a cooperative economic collaboration but also a larger strategic alliance between Brazil and India. Members of the G20 and BRICS, nations have an interest in promoting mutual development and collaboration.
