HAL’s indigenous FADEC for the HTSE-1200 engine could reduce India’s dependence on foreign technology while improving engine control

HAL and GE Aerospace held key talks at Farnborough to address delays in F404 engine deliveries for Tejas Mk1A jets, while also discussing future maintenance support and stronger aerospace cooperation.

HAL will manufacture indigenous electro-hydraulic servo valves after receiving DRDO technology from RCI Hyderabad. The move will strengthen Tejas fighter production and support India’s defence self-reliance and aerospace manufacturing.

HAL has started serial production of the indigenous HTT-40 trainer aircraft, with the Indian Air Force expected to receive the first batch during FY2027 under India’s growing defence self-reliance programme.

HAL says the decision to build Russia’s Su-57E stealth fighter in India depends fully on the Indian government. Russia has offered technology transfer, local production, and manufacturing support for the project.

HAL has opened a new Prachand Light Combat Helicopter production line at its Tumakuru factory, boosting indigenous helicopter manufacturing and strengthening India’s push for faster, modern, and self-reliant defence production.

ACS Technologies has won a ₹1.56 crore order from HAL to supply six rack-integrated data centres, with delivery set to be completed by September 19, 2026, the company said.

The Tejas Mk-1A is an advanced version of the original Tejas aircraft that India developed through its Aeronautical Development Agency.

HAL has started a new Hot Isostatic Press facility at its Nashik division to process carbon-carbon brake discs for Tejas Mk1A aircraft, helping speed up production and strengthen India’s defence manufacturing.

The Ministry of Defence has signed a ₹2,312 crore deal with HAL to supply eight Dornier 228 aircraft to the Indian Coast Guard, boosting maritime security and supporting Make-in-India efforts.
