DRDO Internship 2025: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) provides internship programs for students who are studying science or engineering. These programs are designed to give students real experience in advanced research and development (R&D) related to defence technology. Students who want to apply for these internships must do so through their college or university.
To be eligible for the DRDO internship, students must be between 19 and 28 years old. They must also have a degree from a recognized college or university. For some high-tech research roles, DRDO selects students based on their academic performance during their studies.

DRDO’s notice about the internships explains that selected students will only have access to areas of DRDO labs or facilities that are not classified as secret. The notice also makes it clear that the internship does not guarantee a job at DRDO after the training ends. The training period can last from 4 weeks to 6 months, depending on the program. However, the final decision on the duration is made by the lab director.
The notice also states, “DRDO will not be responsible for any compensation if a student gets injured during their internship at DRDO labs or facilities.” This means students must be careful while working, as DRDO will not pay for any accidents that happen during the training.
