Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Launches DRDO-MHA Collaboration Conference and Exhibition

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the need for India to update its security policies to address evolving threats such as terrorism, separatist movements, and organized crime.

DRDO-MHA Collaboration: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh opened the DRDO-MHA Collaboration Conference and Exhibition in New Delhi on Tuesday. At the event, he spoke about how security threats are changing and why we need to update our policies to stay safe.

According to ANI News, He said, “Internal security and external security are two sides of the same coin. We must understand how both are changing and make our security policies fit for these new challenges. Today, we face new kinds of threats that we need to prepare for.”

Rajnath Singh talked about the different security problems India faces. He explained, “Inside the country, we deal with terrorism, separatist movements, left-wing extremism, communal tensions, cross-border issues, and organized crime. Outside the country, we also have our own set of challenges.”

He pointed out that in the past, threats were more straightforward, but now they are more complex. He said, “Earlier, threats were conventional. But now, we see many unconventional threats like hybrid warfare, cyber attacks, and space-based challenges.”

Dr. Samir V Kamat, who is the Secretary of DRDO, also spoke at the event. He said the conference is very important because it brings together users and developers to discuss their needs and challenges.

He added, “This conference allows users and developers to talk openly about what they need and what problems they face. Such meetings help us prepare for future challenges. DRDO is working on advanced weapon systems and other technologies to meet these needs.”

The event highlighted how India is working to improve its security by using new technologies and better planning. It showed the importance of teamwork between different groups to keep the country safe.
