BEL Wins Rs 1,081 Crore Defence Orders, Shares Gain 1%

Bharat Electronics Ltd secured fresh defence orders worth Rs 1,081 crore, boosting investor confidence. The stock rose 1% as the company continued adding contracts across radars, communication systems, avionics and defence equipment.

BEL Defence Orders Shares: Shares of Bharat Electronics Ltd, or BEL, moved higher on 22 June after the company said it won fresh orders worth Rs 1,081 crore. The stock touched a day high of Rs 432.50 and ended at Rs 431.45 on BSE, up 1.01% from the previous close of Rs 427.15. BEL said the new work came after its last update on 25 May 2026.

The order list includes communication equipment, radars, CBRN protection systems, seekers, avionics, upgrades, spares and services. BEL did not name the customers in the filing.

May was Strong

This was not a one-time win. In May, BEL had already told the market that it received additional orders worth Rs 608 crore since its earlier update on 5 May 2026. That order batch also covered many defence items, such as communication equipment, avionics, an information fusion centre, coastal surveillance radar systems, seekers, jammers, tank sub-systems, laser-based fuzes, simulators, medical electronics, batteries, spares and services.

FY26 Numbers Stayed Strong

BEL’s full-year FY26 numbers were also solid. The company reported revenue from operations of Rs 27,479.63 crore for FY26, up 16.15% from Rs 23,658.01 crore in FY25.

Net profit for the year rose 14.38% to Rs 6,048.48 crore from Rs 5,288.25 crore in the previous year.

For the March 2026 quarter, revenue came in at Rs 10,177.17 crore and net profit stood at Rs 2,203.16 crore.

BEL also said its order book was Rs 73,882 crore as of 1 April 2026, while its record-turnover release later described the total order book as around Rs 74,000 crore, including an export order book of USD 495 million.
