Astra Microwave Products, a company based in Hyderabad, is aiming for a big jump in its revenue next year. They hope to grow their earnings by 25%, reaching between ₹1,200 to ₹1,300 crore. This growth will come from more spending on defense worldwide and a strong list of orders they already have.
Atim Kabra, who works as the Director of Strategy and Business Development at the company, said that countries in Europe are spending more on their defense. This is good news for Indian companies like Astra Microwave. “Indian companies need to make their supply chains stronger to take advantage of these new chances,” Kabra explained.

According to the CNBC TV18, the company expects to get new orders worth more than ₹1,250 to ₹1,300 crore in the next year. About ₹900 crore of this will come from orders they already have. The rest, around ₹250 to ₹300 crore, will be from new orders. Astra Microwave makes special systems that use radio waves and microwaves. These systems are used in defense and space projects.
A lot of the work from their current orders will start to be made in the second half of the year 2027. Kabra also talked about how the company has good connections with companies in Europe. These connections could help them get more work in the future.
Even though European countries might give their own companies the first chance to fill orders, Indian companies like Astra Microwave could still benefit. Most of Astra Microwave’s orders come from defense and public sector projects, which make up 73% of their work. Space projects are 7%, and weather-related projects are 8%. They also do some work for other countries, which is 12% of their orders.

They make things like parts for radars, equipment for electronic battles, tools for talking to satellites, and special radios. Astra Microwave work hard to create new technology in India, which helps the country improve its defense and explore space. They also work with other companies, like Astra Rafael Comsys Pvt. Ltd., to make even better technology. This helps India rely less on other countries for high-tech equipment.
