AEM Contracts from HAL and DRDO: Applied Electro Magnetics Pvt. Ltd. (AEM), a prominent MSME specializing in defense and railway solutions, has secured major orders from Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) labs, including the Instrument Research and Development Establishment (IRDE), Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL), and Defence Bio-Engineering & Electro Medical Laboratory (DEBEL).
They have also received orders from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), strengthening its position in the industry.
With an order book valued at over INR 58 crore, AEM continues to serve key government and public sector organizations, such as the Indian Air Force, Indian Railways, Bharat Electronics Limited, and Central Electronics Limited, as well as notable private companies like Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Alpha Design Technologies Limited.

Founded almost 50 years ago, AEM faced financial struggles that led to its entry into insolvency proceedings in 2017. However, the company began to turn around in April 2019 under new management led by Sharad Maheshwari and Dhruv Maheshwari.
They presented a resolution plan, which was approved by the Hon’ble National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). Since then, AEM has experienced impressive growth, consistently improving its revenue and profits year after year.
AEM’s success can be attributed to its strong team of 110 skilled professionals, including 35 engineers focused on research and development. The team consists of graduates from top institutions like IITs, with experience from organizations such as Airbus Defence, DRDO, Mahindra Defence, and L&T Defence. According to ThePrint, Dhruv Maheshwari, Director of AEM, said, “As we continue to witness growing demand from our customers, we are actively expanding our team by bringing in talented professionals to ensure we deliver exceptional service.”
