Greenbelt would take up a third of Chitrakoot. The developers will cover all contemporary energy conservation, waste management, firefighting, noise, water, and air pollution issues. According to Business standard reports, six nodes—Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Aligarh, Chitrakoot, and Agra districts—make up the industrial corridor.

One government official added, “This corridor is key to propelling the ‘Make in UP’ mission of the Yogi Adityanath government and contributing to India’s military self-reliance and exports.” Drone, helicopter, gun, and ammo manufacturers would all be included in the corridor.

Up to now, the state government has inked 140 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with both public and private enterprises and approved defence manufacturing projects valued at Rs 25,000 crore.
