Talisman Sabre meet in Australia: Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, who is the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff of India, recently visited Australia between July 26 and 28 for the big military event called Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025. This is the 11th time this exercise is being held, and it includes joint drills and planning between different countries.

This time, 6 Indian Armed Forces officers joined in, working on things like planning, safety, logistics, and controlling operations. In earlier years like 2021 and 2023, Indian officers had joined as observers, but this time they played a more active role. The exercise focuses on how well different countries can work together in the air, on land, in the sea, as well as in space and cyber areas.

It helped start strong conversations about how countries can work better together in different kinds of military situations, also called Multi-Domain Operations. It also showed that India is serious about working with others to keep the Indo-Pacific region safe, free, and open.
