PM Modi unveils fighter jet: At Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed a decommissioned MiG-211 fighter plane that was utilised during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971.

Hemant Soren, the chief minister, and CP Radhakrishnan, the governor of Jharkhand, were also there. “The Mikoyan Gurevich (MiG-211) fighter jet aircraft, which was inducted into the Indian Air Force in 1964 and successfully used in the Bangladesh Liberation War, was inaugurated at Raj Bhavan today by our most esteemed Prime Minister Shri. @narendramodi Ji,” Radhakrishnan posted on ‘X’.

At Raj Bhavan, the PM also had a meeting with the governor’s family.

“My sincere gratitude goes out to our esteemed and highly regarded Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, for spending time with my family today at Raj Bhavan, despite his hectic schedule. He showed my family so much love and affection, especially for my grandchildren, that I was moved to tears. From the bottom of my heart, I thank him,” Radhakrishnan remarked.

He sent his family members pictures of the fighter jet and the PM’s meeting as well.

On Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, the anniversary of tribal hero Birsa Munda’s birth, Modi visited Ulihatu in Khunti district earlier in the day and offered flowers in honour of the man.
