Focus on healthcare and jobs
This partnership is not only about pension and welfare but also about healthcare and jobs. It will make healthcare services better for ex-servicemen and open more doors for re-employment and even entrepreneurship. The initiative will also give strength to the system of state and district Sainik Boards, which already work for veterans and their families.
The ministry explained that “under the MoU, the QCI will support the DESW in digital evaluations, impact assessments, and evidence-based policy recommendations, while the DESW will facilitate data access and stakeholder coordination with the state governments, Zila Sainik Boards, Armed Forces Headquarters, and empanelled hospitals.”
